Hello Little Plants!

Raked the yard.  No more snow.  Little tulips and other little friends are popping up here and there.

Ms. C., this is what mine looks like.  Primrose?  I think there's a tulip coming up there that I didn't plant.  Hermit says the chippies move bulbs.  I think he's on to something...

This little guy was dug up by some creature and it's still alive.  And purple.  Haven't seen it this purple in a couple years.

I'm a Loser Mom

Well that's how I'm feeling tonight.  It's Spring Break and although that sounds marvelous, when you don't take a trip and you're kids stay home all week, the uglies come out.  I just feel like my family is out of control.  My kids are sassing me.  They won't listen to me but they hate when I yell at them after I ask them to do something for the sixth time!  Maybe my aunt (Ex-aunt actually.  She's not married to my uncle anymore) was right.  Maybe I'm not cut out to be a mom. 

There's just been a lot of negativity in my home for the past week.  Lots of glass half empty instead of glass half full and all this bad energy is really getting to me.  I soak it up like a sponge and it makes a mess out of me.  I just want to run away for a while when it gets like this. 

First Sewing Project

I don't mean to brag but I'm pretty sure I won the Excellence in Beginning Sewing Award tonight.  It was extra hard because my sewing machine was produced by the Lollipop Guild.  I want to make my own curtains so I practiced tonight.  I pretty much eye balled it and here's what I got.

Oh. My. Gaw.  I'm so excited!  I'm bringing it to work tomorrow to see what pointers my sewing friend has to offer.  I may also have to (already) trade my munchkin made machine in for the Dorothy version if I get hooked on this sewing thing.
